Cad Designer - Juniors
Our client, a wholesale apparel manufacturing brand, is seeking a CAD Designer to join their creative team in NYC!
Responsibilities:
- Develop CAD designs for apparel with a focus on graphic elements, including embroideries, textures, and placements.
- Collaborate closely with designers and product developers to ensure graphics align with overall brand vision and product strategy.
- Create detailed technical drawings and garment specifications for production.
- Ensure accuracy in all graphic designs, including sizing, scaling, and color matching.
- Maintain design consistency across all product lines and collections.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution from concept to final product.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and innovate with new techniques and styles for graphics on apparel.
- Manage multiple design projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a CAD Designer in the fashion or apparel industry, with a heavy emphasis on graphics.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and CAD-specific software (CLO 3D, Gerber, or similar).
- Strong understanding of graphic design principles, including color theory, composition, and typography.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to translate design concepts into clear technical specifications.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Experience working with apparel
- Knowledge of fabric printing techniques, embroideries, and embellishments.
FT in office, $60,000-$80,000 depending on experience
