Property Manager - NYC & Southampton
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of two private homes in New York. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of two private homes. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of maintaining high standards in managing property maintenance, staff coordination, and the execution of events.
Location: NYC + Southampton, NY
Responsibilities:
Property Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the family homes.
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance, repairs, and renovations with various contractors and service providers.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure it is well-maintained and secure.
- Maintain a detailed schedule of routine maintenance tasks (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems).
Staff Coordination:
- Hire, train, and supervise household staff, such as housekeepers, gardeners, and security personnel.
- Schedule and coordinate staff work hours and duties to ensure optimal property operations.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain detailed records of property expenses, budgets, and invoices.
- Provide regular reports to the family or their representatives on property and boat status, expenses, and any necessary improvements.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services and supplies.
Event Planning and Coordination:
- Assist with planning and coordination of family events, gatherings, or special occasions at the property.
- Ensure the property is adequately prepared and staffed for events, including setting up and taking down event-related decor and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in estate or property management, preferably for private families.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and maintain discretion.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Must live within daily commutable distance of the East End of Suffolk County
- Familiarity with high-end home systems and technology, including smart home devices.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Flexibility to travel between Kings Point and NYC and adjust to changing schedules.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Valid US work authorization.
