Designer - Men's Shoes

Our client, a fast-growing apparel brand, is seeking a full-time Designer – Men’s Shoes to drive end-to-end footwear creation, from trend research and sketches to prototyping and production. You’ll partner closely with development, sourcing, merchandising, and marketing teams to deliver innovative, brand-aligned collections.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop seasonal men’s footwear collections from concept through final prototype
• Research trends, perform competitor analyses, and identify market opportunities
• Collaborate with product developers and manufacturers to choose materials, build samples, and ensure production accuracy
• Create sketches, renderings, and technical specs using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD, and hand sketching
• Maintain strong knowledge of footwear construction, materials, and production processes
• Align designs with business goals and customer needs in partnership with merchandising and marketing teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field
• 3+ years of men’s footwear design experience with a diverse portfolio
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, and traditional sketching
• Deep understanding of materials, color theory, and construction techniques
• Exceptional creativity, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to work on-site in NYC full-time
