Family Office Controller

A Naples, FL based Family Office is seeking an experienced Controller/Accounting Manager to join their growing team.

Duties include but are not limited to:

-Lead the implementation of an investment reporting system (i.e. Addepar or Solovis) for the family office.
-Maintain investment records for various entities including individuals, trusts, foundations and partnerships
-Review and reconcile investments on monthly/quarterly basis to statements and evaluate performance.
-Track investment activity for hedge fund and private equity investments including capital calls, distributions and remaining capital commitments
-Ensure that capital calls, distributions and cash movements are sent / received
-Assist with cash management and bill pay of household expenses
-Ensure all investment material and bill pay items are electronically saved in accordance with office best practices
-Work closely with tax accountants to facilitate timely completion of tax returns and preparation of quarterly tax payments
-Help develop and enhance controls and policies and procedures
-Special projects


Qualifications:

-A degree in Accounting or Finance with 4 - 8 years+ related experience
-Knowledge of the securities industry including hedge funds and private equity funds
-Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
-Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
-Quick Books accounting software experience, preferred
-Ability to work independently in a small office environment, prioritize work and meet deadlines
