You’ll shape editorial direction, mentor writers, and strengthen the organization’s voice and visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold and advance the site’s mission, editorial standards, and values
  • Cultivate relationships with writers, partners, and affiliates
  • Manage editorial workflows using CMS platforms and Google Workspace
  • Recruit and mentor a diverse network of contributors, maintaining both editorial integrity and writer voice
  • Edit and produce a range of content, including articles, interviews, reviews, and multimedia features
  • Oversee layout and visual presentation of published pieces with attention to context and audience experience
  • Collaborate regularly with senior leadership and contribute to editorial and strategy meetings
  • Use data insights to inform editorial planning and optimize content performance
  • Coordinate with Development and Social Media teams on campaigns, partnerships, and promotional efforts

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Demonstrated experience in digital journalism and editorial leadership
  • A strong news sense and a passion for progressive storytelling
  • Excellent editing, writing, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional collaboration
  • Familiarity with digital publishing tools and analytics platforms
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a collaborative working style
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in both content and newsroom culture
