Corporate Accounting Manager

Our client, a prestigious private equity firm on the west side of LA, is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager. The Corporate Accounting Manager will oversee the preparation and review of the books and records for a group of management and GP companies. This role requires a strong foundation in accounting principles and the ability to manage a variety of responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing quarterly unaudited financial statements, partner capital reports, and annual audited financial statements, including footnotes, audit requests, and annual tax workpapers.
• Oversee the quarterly close process, monthly soft close, and other general bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Collaborate with FP&A to expedite the closing process and provide enhanced reporting to management.
• Assist with capital calls, distributions, income allocation, and other special accounting projects as needed.
• Responsible for accounts payable and expense allocation functions.
• Mentor and train the Corporate Accounting team to improve efficiency, automate processes, and streamline workflows.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
• Previous experience in fund or asset management is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Previous experience in fund or asset management is preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate across departments, and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Prior experience with accounting software such as NetSuite and Concur is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• A strong sense of adaptability, with the judgment to know when to take initiative and when to support others.
