Technical Design Manager - Women's Luxury Brand

Our client, an established luxury brand, is seeking a Technical Design Manager - Women's to join their team in New York.


Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain detailed technical specs for new designs, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all products.
• Collect, organize, and review fit samples, providing detailed approval comments and making necessary adjustments to achieve the desired fit.
• Apply grading knowledge to ensure size consistency across all product ranges, particularly in womenswear.
• Maintain and update the fit sample log, ensuring all sample information is accurately recorded and easily accessible.
• Review current technical specs and provide input to improve product quality and fit.
• Work closely with design, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure that all garments meet the company’s standards.

Qualifications:‍

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in women's knits is a must.
• Strong knowledge of grading techniques and fit processes.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Office software.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and precision in technical design.
• Ability to work in office full time.
