**Please note that this is a remote, 12 month, contract role. Pay will be $85- $105/hr.**
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality, maintainable code on schedule.
• Architect and implement scalable mobile features and platform components.
• Lead and participate in design and code reviews, helping to set engineering standards.
• Collaborate across disciplines, including Product, Design, Backend, and QA.
• Track and report progress against defined milestones and deliverables.
• Take ownership of cross-team initiatives from planning to rollout.
• Drive improvements in mobile architecture, performance, testing, and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of learning and growth.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation to support the team and future development.
• Actively shape the roadmap and contribute to technical strategy.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of mobile development experience (Android and/or iOS).
• Proven experience as a tech lead or architect on complex mobile projects.
• Strong grasp of test-driven development and unit/integration testing.
• Solid understanding of API design, mobile architecture, and web protocols.
• Experience with building reusable, performant UI components.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Experience with Flutter or other cross-platform frameworks.
• Familiarity with Reactive Programming (RxJava, Coroutines, Streams).
• Understanding of S.O.L.I.D. or G.R.A.S.P. principles and Clean Architecture patterns.
• Contributions to mobile open-source frameworks or libraries.
• Expertise in mobile performance tuning and diagnostics.
• Experience building platform-level systems used across teams.
