Controller

Our client, a renowned Hospitality Group, is seeking a Controller to join their team in Patchogue, NY!

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior leadership.Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Supervise and develop the finance team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred).
  • 5–7 years of financial management experience, preferably in multi-unit hospitality.
  • Proven leadership skills and proficiency with financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
  • Technical accounting skills, including expertise in GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Very growth orientated and desire to take courses, read books and attend seminars.
