Technical Recruiter

Our client, a confidential startup at the intersection of AI, education, and gaming, is seeking a seasoned recruiter to take ownership of their hiring strategy and execution. This person will be instrumental in shaping a world-class recruitment function—from process design to candidate experience—laying the foundation of an exceptional hiring engine as the company scales globally.

Responsibilities:
• Own full-cycle recruitment across a range of technical and non-technical roles, with a particular focus on sourcing high-caliber, hard-to-reach candidates.
• Champion the candidate journey—from outreach to offer—ensuring every interaction is thoughtful, consistent, and aligned with the company’s brand and values.
• Partner closely with hiring managers and internal stakeholders to align recruiting strategies with business goals and hiring needs.
• Manage international recruitment efforts, navigating global hiring logistics and expanding the reach of the company’s talent brand.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
• Drive improvements in recruiting workflows, tools, documentation, and internal best practices to support a seamless and scalable hiring process.
• Provide structure and transparency to interview coordination, feedback collection, and hiring decisions to ensure speed and alignment.
• Collaborate with People Operations on broader initiatives and help establish internal documentation for future team growth.
• Contribute to laying the foundation for a future recruiting team, including scalable systems, playbooks, and mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications:
• Proven success leading recruitment efforts in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, ideally across both distributed and on-site teams.
• Strong command of full-cycle recruiting—from sourcing through close—with experience attracting passive talent in highly competitive sectors.
• Expert-level familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); capable of using these tools to streamline communications, track data, and drive efficiency.
• Confident in influencing stakeholders and clearly communicating the value of an in-person work culture to prospective candidates.
• A proactive operator with strong initiative and an ownership mentality—you anticipate needs, move quickly, and don’t wait to be asked.
• Strategic thinker with a builder’s mindset; eager to iterate on processes and elevate how talent is acquired across the organization.
• Experience mentoring or managing junior recruiting team members or sourcers.
• Familiarity with Ashby or similar next-gen ATS platforms.
• Prior experience as an early hire in a people/recruiting function at a scaling company.
