Senior Associate - Fund Accounting

Global private equity firm headquartered in Greenwich, CT is seeking a Senior Associate, Fund Accounting. The Fund Accountant is responsible for performing daily cash, finance & accounting functions for the Americas private equity funds including Buyout, Growth and Latin America funds.  Additionally, the Fund Accountant is expected to help coordinate on valuation, investor services and tax compliance as related to the funds.

This is hybrid role – onsite Mon-Thu in Greenwich, CT; Fridays remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in the invoice allocation and approval process
• Review cash transactions and reconciliations prepared by fund administrators
• Assist in the preparation and review of fund, general partner and co-investor financial statements, including partner capital account statements
• Analyze and interpret deal documentation for financial reporting purposes
• Work in conjunction with fund administrators and communicate necessary information
• Assist with capital calls and distributions for the Funds and co-investors
• Assist with quarterly and annual closings, including audit requests
• Assist with responding to investor requests
• Ensure controls are in place and accounts are accurate
• Special projects as they arise

QUALIFICATIONS
• 3-6 years of audit, accounting, or previous private equity and/or asset management experience; knowledge of private equity accounting is a plus
• Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA helpful but not required
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.  Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and/or Allvue (formerly Alta Return) system is a plus
• Team player who exhibits strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
• Ability to work under pressure, adhere to deadlines with great attention to detail
