Executive Chef - Elevated Restaurant Group
Our client, an elevated restaurant group, is seeking a talented Executive Chef that has strong experience with French cuisine to join their team in Miami, FL! As the Executive Chef you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day optimal and efficient performance of the kitchens, and assisting in cost management structures around food cost and preparations.
Responsibilities:
- Maximizes profitability through effective food and labor cost controls, accurate budgeting, and timely variance reporting.
- Oversees purchasing, vendor relations, and inventory management to ensure quality, consistency, and cost efficiency.
- Develops and enforces culinary operating standards to ensure quality, consistency, and DOH compliance.
- Leads kitchen operations, providing clear direction to the team and overseeing menu development, pricing, and seasonal offerings.
- Maintains safe, efficient, and compliant work environments while managing payroll accuracy, scheduling, and maintenance needs.
- Hires, trains, and mentors the culinary team, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and excellence.
- Oversees staffing, scheduling, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions to maintain high operational standards.
- Partners with FOH leadership on menu training and ensures effective communication through regular meetings and pre-shifts.
Qualifications:
- Strong French cuisine is required.
- Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills while maintaining a polished, professional presentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS/inventory systems; able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically able to lift 30+ pounds and stand or walk for extended periods; flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies, HR procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations.
