Assistant Merchandiser

Our client, an apparel company, is looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join their team in NYC!


Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and organizational support to the Merchandising Department to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Enter and maintain product-related data in Excel with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Organize and update department records, files, and merchandise catalogs.
  • Assist in compiling selling reports, sales recaps, and other performance analyses.
  • Manage and track product samples to support seasonal assortments and line reviews.
  • Support cross-functional projects and assist with special assignments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Fashion Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the fashion industry, including internships.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and levels.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and eager to build a long-term career in the fashion industry.
