Operations Manager

Our client, a high-growth start-up technology company, is seeking a Business Operations Manager to join their San Francisco team. This forward-thinking organization delivers data-driven solutions that enable businesses to centralize, transform, and leverage information for more strategic analytics and decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and highly organized operations professional to partner closely with leadership and play a critical role in shaping the company’s internal infrastructure across business, people, and finance functions. The ideal candidate is adaptable, resourceful, and energized by a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. This role offers the chance to take ownership of essential operations, create scalable processes, and contribute meaningfully to the company’s growth and culture.

***This is an in-office role located in San Francisco, CA (5 days a week).

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations across finance, people, and logistics to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Serve as the first point of contact for internal and external operational requests, maintaining clear communication and organized systems.
- Coordinate with key partners including accountants, payroll and benefits providers, recruiters, and vendors.
- Support finance operations including invoicing, collections, PO tracking, and month-end reporting in partnership with the accounting team.
- Manage people operations such as onboarding/offboarding, payroll inputs and updates (US and UK), and contractor payment coordination.
- Team building and culture champion.
- Plan and execute company events, conferences, and offsites—managing timelines, vendors, and logistics to create seamless experiences.
- Oversee smooth operations across the San Francisco office.
- Opportunity to build out and streamline processes.

Qualifications:
- 2–5+ years of experience within office/operations at a fast-moving company.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal teams and external partners.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets, reporting, and learning new tools quickly.
- Based in San Francisco and available to work onsite 5 days a week.
- Experience in finance operations, people operations, HR coordination (including international exposure), vendor management, or event planning.
- Previous experience supporting conferences, offsites, or company gatherings.
