Assistant Designer - Girls

Our client, an apparel company, is looking for an Assistant Designer for Girls apparel to join their team in NYC!


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the full design lifecycle from concept through production.
  • Build and update tech packs and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Create precise flat sketches and provide support on graphics/print development when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate data entry and track all product revisions.
  • Partner with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve development challenges.
  • Manage timelines effectively while responding to feedback with a solutions-focused approach.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or Apparel Design (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–2 years of experience in design and/or product development; internships welcomed.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; working knowledge of Photoshop preferred.
  • Highly organized with sharp attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, can-do attitude.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
