Assistant Technical Designer

Our client, a women's sleepwear and intimates brand, is seeking an Assistant Technical Designer to join their team!

Responsibilities‍

  • Assist with pattern corrections, sample revisions, and grading.
  • Accurately measure women’s sleepwear and intimates across all sizes, ensuring consistency and fit integrity.
  • Evaluate fit samples, focusing on comfort, stretch, recovery, and close-to-body construction details.
  • Identify and troubleshoot measurement, construction, and fabric performance discrepancies.
  • Communicate clear, detailed technical comments to overseas factories.
  • Update and maintain fit charts, measurement specs, and sample tracking documents.
  • Review elastics, trims, lace placements, and stretch components for proper functionality and comfort.
  • Organize samples and maintain a structured, efficient workspace.
  • Support technical fittings and collaborate cross-functionally with design, production, and sourcing teams.

Qualifications‍

  • 1–2+ years of Technical Design experience within women’s sleepwear, lingerie, intimates, or soft apparel categories.
  • Strong garment measuring skills with a solid understanding of close-to-body fit.
  • Knowledge of stretch fabrics, elastics, lace, and soft construction techniques.
  • Basic understanding of pattern corrections and grading.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally.
  • Eagerness to grow within a fast-paced apparel environment.

$50k-70k commensurate of experience.
Full time in office.
