Legal Operations & Business Systems Manager
Our client, a prominent and highly regarded investment management firm, is looking for a strategic and detail-focused Legal Operations & Business Systems Manager to oversee and strengthen its Legal Operations function. This role is positioned at the crossroads of legal, technology, and business strategy, playing a key role in improving operational performance, enhancing systems, and maintaining compliance within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for optimizing processes, using data insights, and applying technologies—including automation and AI—to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage corporate governance and entity administration, including entity formation, regulatory filings, and maintenance of legal records
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal and state laws by tracking regulatory updates and implementing risk mitigation measures
- Oversee trust administration, banking and investment account activities, and assist with contract review and legal documentation
- Administer Legal Operations platforms and reporting systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI), ensuring data integrity and system efficiency
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, lead automation efforts, and support system integrations to improve workflows
- Plan and deliver cross-functional initiatives, ensuring projects meet established timelines, quality standards, and objectives
- Collaborate with Legal, IT, internal teams, and external partners to enhance operational and system performance
- Act as a reliable point of contact for sensitive matters, exercising sound judgment, confidentiality, and professionalism
- Evaluate and implement emerging tools, including AI-based solutions, to strengthen reporting capabilities and operational outcomes
- Contribute to team growth through training, documentation, and knowledge-sharing efforts
Qualifications:
- 3–4+ years of experience in Corporate Paralegal work, Legal Operations, Program Management, or a related discipline
- Solid knowledge of corporate governance practices, regulatory compliance, and risk management
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and improving operational processes
- Familiarity with platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, or comparable tools
- Strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and automation technologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across different levels
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence
